The Weyburn Red Wings managed to win the offensive battle versus the Flin Flon Bombers this night as they went on to win by a final score of 7-5.
The Red Wings fell behind early in the first period as the Bombers took a quick 2-0 lead before Michael Seib scored on the powerplay to pull the Wings within one after the first.
The Wings then took control of things in the second as they scored four goals, from Shupe, Lindsay, Nargang and Bray to take a 5-3 lead going into the third.
Neither team was done lighting the lamp just yet. Flin Flon got an early goal but again the Red Wings regained their commanding lead as Doody and Langevin added two more goals before the Bombers added the final goal of the night to make the score a respectable 7-5.
Kyle McConnell got the win for the Red Wings, facing 39 shots while Calvin Bartel suffered the loss for the Bombers facing 37 shots.
The Red Wings next action will be tomorrow verus the Battlefords Northstars in Saskatoon before heading back to Weyburn on Tuesday to face the Nipawin Hawks.
