Hounds - Terriers Make Blockbuster!

The Notre Dame Hounds hope they have addressed their goaltending situation as they have acquired 19 year old goaltender Mark Currie and 20 year old forward Chris Bratina from the Yorkton Terriers in exchange for 19 year old forward Bryan Hull.

Currie, a BC native, in 178 minutes of play this season as recorded a record of 0-2 with a 1.80 GAA and .938 save percentage. Bratina has three goals and three assists in ten game played thus far in the season. Hull, known for his offensive ability, instantly becomes the Terriers leading scorer as he has 3 goals and 10 assists in 12 games played.

Time for my personal opinion on this trade - Thumbs up to Ed Zawatsky and the Yorkton Terriers. Although I know Bratina was a big part of their team, his numbers are replaceable. Currie was expendable with the recent addition of 17 year old Joel Danyluk. Bryan Hull should be an excellent setup man for the likes of Derek Serdachny or Carter Smith. Currie is still a relative unknown due to the fact that he has limited experience at this level. Notre Dame addresses a need and assuming Bratina also reports, which is sometimes an issue with 20 year olds traded to Wilcox, I will play the wait and see before giving my final evaluation of the deal.
