The Red Wings were hoping for a good start as they hit the road for the first of three game in three nights but it was the Kindersley Klippers who spoiled that as they skated away with a 3-1 victory.

In Yorkton, the Melville Millionaires played "pathetic" as quoted by there head coach Jamie Fiesel on the GX94 post game show in falling 3-0 to the Yorkton Terriers. Carter Smith picked up an assist in his first game back from the Everett Silvertips of the WHL. Jock Sutter, a recent cut of the Moose Jaw Warriors, also made his season debut for the Terriers on the blue line. The Millionaires are now 7-1-0-0 while the Terriers improve to 3-3-1-2. There is now a logjam in the Sherwood Conference standings as two points separate second place Weyburn from fifth place Yorkton. The Terriers and Mils do battle again tomorrow night - this time at the Vault in Melville.

In Nipawin, it was a back and forth type game, but the Hawks skated away with the 5-4 victory over the Melfort Mustangs. The teams go at it again tomorrow night, this time in Melfort. Nipawin improves to 6-3-0-0 while the Mustangs fall to 4-4-0-0.

In North Battleford, the Stars fell asleep at the wheel in the third period allowing five goals as they fell 6-2 to the Flin Flon Bombers. The Stars led 2-1 after two but ran into penalty trouble early in the third which allowed the lethal power play of the Bombers to do its thing. Pierre - Luc Boucher had a goal and two assists to lead the way for Flin Flon. Reid MacLeod chipped in with two goals. Dennis Kubat, Cole Wilson and Shawn McNulty also scored for the Bombers. David Linsley added a pair of assists. Ricky Cey and Tony Oak had the goals for the Stars. Carsen Chubak continues to get the bulk of the work for Flin Flon while Calvin Bartel is injured. Chubak made 29 saves. Ryan Kerpan made 35 saves in the Stars net. With the win, the red hot Bombers improve to 5-3-0-1 and are only one point back of the second place Nipawin Hawks. The Stars dropped to 2-7-1-0 with the loss.

Tonights Three Stars:
1st Star - Jonathan Redlick - Kindersley Klippers (2 goals and an assist)
2nd Star - Adam Schwark - Nipawin Hawks (4 point night)
3rd Star - Lynden Sammartino - Yorkton Terriers (shutout the previous unbeaten Melville Millionaires. He only faced 22 shots but had to make some nice saves, especially in the second period.)

Wings are back at it tomorrow night when they visit the Battlefords Stars. It is a very important game for the Wings to get back on track and hopefully they can do it tomorrow night.
