Doody, Linnell, Whiffen Take Weekly Honors!

SJHL FORWARD OF THE WEEK:

Scott Doody, Weyburn Red Wings

Scott had 5-goals and 4-assists in 3-games played last week. The native of Corner Brook, Newfoundland has found his game since being placed on a line with Erick Ruud and Eric Calibaba (coincidentally these two could definitely have been in the running for the weekly award as well).

SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK:

Scott Linnell, Kindersley Klippers

Linnell anchored the Klipper blueline with a goal and two assists in three games played.

SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:

AJ Whiffen, Weyburn Red Wings

Whiffen turned away 66-of-67 shot to win both of his starts last week. The week included a 5-0 shutout win over the Flin Flon Bombers which saw the Red Wings rookie goaltender record his record-tying sixth shutout of the season. Whiffen looks to add to the total this coming weekend when the Wings play in La Ronge and Flin Flon.
