Clark Ousted in North Battleford

The Board of Directors of the Battlefords North Stars Hockey Club Inc. has relieved Head Coach and General Manager Gary Clark of his duties. Assistant Coach, Blair Atcheynum, will serve as interim Coach and General Manager until the completion of the hockey season. A permanent replacement will be hired during the off season.

Clark was in his second season as the head coach after replacing Blaine Sautner following the 2005-06 season. He replaced Glen Watson in August of 2006. Clark coached professionally in Germany prior to his hiring by the North Stars. He compliled a record of 40-54-6-8 in 108 games as the North Stars head coach. Best of luck to Gary in the future.

My opinion is that Blair Atcheynum will have the interim tag removed in the offseason and if not - he will likely not be back with the Stars.
