Nargang and the boys prepare for La Ronge

Troy Kramm: Your line with Johnson and Bray showed a lot of jump versus Melville and combined for eight points last Saturday, What did you guys do right that game?

Nargang: We really pressured their defence into making mistakes and used our speed to our advantage. Their defencemen aren’t very mobile so we continued to pressure them all night with our speed which gave us some chances to score on.

TK: What was the turning point during the Melville game that you personally noticed?

Nargang: I think when we came out in the third period down by a goal we skated better and forced them to make mistakes. We really settled down and played our game rather than playing the game they wanted us to play.

TK: What happened versus Humboldt with the lack of offense during the night? Do you feel that the early goals may have put the whole team down?

Nargang: Yah it is tough to come back versus a team like that. I though that we had some chances in the first that we didn’t capitalize on and we were skating real well but we just didn’t play up to our potential that night which really made them look better than they actually are.

TK: Looking ahead versus La Ronge, what are you going to have to do, to get back in the winning column before the Christmas break?

Nargang: We are definitely going go have to stay focused and play hard. We are going to have to watch out for their top line and play our own game. They are a tough team but we will look to pressure their defence and work hard to make our plays.
