Mils, Bombers Win on Sunday Night!

The Melville Millionaires drew first blood in the home and home series with the Yorkton Terriers as they defeated the Terriers 6-3 on home ice. Brad Johnston paced the Millionaires with a goal and two assists. Jordan Wilson picked up his first goal as a Millionaires since coming over from Port Hope and also added an assist. Bryant Dyke, Aaron Decorby, Kale Dolinski and Dion Campbell also scored for Melville. Daniel Hope also had two assists for Melville. Derek Serdachny and Kirk Byczynski each had a goal and an assist for the Terriers. Kyle Block also scored for the Terriers. Kyle Cantlon got the win as he made 20 saves while Lynden Sammartino took the loss.

In Flin Flon, the Bombers were too much for the Melfort Mustangs on this night as they dumped the Stangs 5-1. Cole Wilson scored twice for the Bombers while Reid MacLeod added a goal and an assist. Pierre-Luc Boucher and Dustyn Clegg also scored for Flin Flon. David Linsley added three assists in the victory. John Payne had the lone Melfort goal assisted by Nick Kalnicki. Carsen Chubak got the start for the Bombers stopping 24 of 25 shots. Ilia Ejov was busy as he faced 42 shots, stopping 37 of them.
