The only game on New Years Eve saw Humboldt take on the Nipawin Hawks.As expected the Broncos defeated the Hawks by a score of 4-1. The Broncos have now won an impressive 10* games in a row and don't look to stop winning any time soon.
The Broncos scored two goals in the first and two in the second to take a commanding 4-0 lead heading into the third period. Nipawin broke the goose egg at 4:56 of the third period to end the shutout for Andrew Bodnarchuk. It was also a big night for Tanner Vandesype as he grabbed three assists on the evening.
The SJHL will be a little busier tomorrow as Yorkton takes on Melville and the Red Wings take on the Estevan Bruins in Estevan.
Hopefully Brad McNeil will be in game condition to do some top notch color commentary for the fans tomorrow after his New Years Eve shenanigans.

I don't know why you are so perturbed about the broadcasting. I have been listening to the games here in NL and they seem to be pretty good to me. And they do not appear to sound biased as other commentators do for other teams. Keep up the good broadcasting. You bring life to the game. Good job!!

All I will say if someone wants to do the job and think they can do it better, step up to the plate. I do it because I was asked to come back and I enjoy working with Kevin. We know we are not NHL calibre commentators but we try our best. Thanks for all the comments everyone

I have only been around the Red Wings for just over a year now and I have been learning a lot through the many die hards around here and it is a great asset to have Brad around. He is the man to talk to if you need to know something about the Red Wings. It is nice to have yah on the radio man, You know more than anyone should about the SJHL lol.

I will also voice my opinion about Brad being back on commentary for the Red Wing games broadcasted on AM1190. However, my opinion is biased since I am his sister.
I have never met anyone more knowledgable or passionate about the game of hockey than my brother. Even as a child he had the stats of every NHL hockey team/player committed to memory. Even before our family moved to Weyburn, he was an avid fan of the Red Wings and for the past several years he has shown his committment to the Red Wings organization through his numerous volunteer hours.
Now he may not be a professional broadcaster, and he may be opinionated from time to time, but he has the knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm Red Wings fans from coast to coast enjoy hearing from. Keep up the good job Brad and Kevin.

as an old fart going back to Jim Lang and Trevor bell broad cast its a joke what passes as a broadcast should be able to give line change as the game goes give more detail of how the play is going just not to guy telling what happen after the goal penalty I'm know it does take time to develop these skill as for color wayne Lazar did a good job with his insights in to the red wings dressing room then and now but keep up the good of broad casting game would be nice to here games in Sept and october not base ball
