The Finals are set thanks the an upset in the Itech Conference. The Flin Flon Bombers once again shut out the Melfort Mustangs to win the series 4-2.
Barrett Penner scored what would eventually be the game winning goal at 5:37 of the first period while Dennis Kubat added another at 17:52 of the second to make it 2-0 after two periods of play. That is all the offence the Bombers would need as goaltender Carsen Chubak turned aside 13 shots in the third period and 27 in total for the shutout. Chubak has been playing some great hockey since stepping in for Calvin Bartel but will be in for a huge test when they take on the Humboldt Broncos.

Wow! this is a diffenent outcome. They say the playoofs is different hockey, now i beleive it.
This isn't the 1st time 2 of the higher teams have been knocked out in the semi finals...
It has happened for yrs. all the time & in all different sports.
You all may laugh at me now but when it happens i will be the one laughing at all of you. Bombers in 5. Nelson steals game 2 for the Broncos. The bombers outshoot, out hit, and out play them all 5 games. You would believe me if you would have seen them play this last series against Melfort like i did.
