SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Winner: Derek Kleinsteuber, Nipawin Hawks
Highlights: A frequent winner of this award last year, this is the first of its kind for Kleinsteuber this season as he led the Hawks out of a slump by compiling a 2-and-0 ledger to go with a 1.61-GAA and .952-SPCT. He had 36-saves against Yorkton on Sunday in a 4-1 win to cap the week. For the season, Kleinsteuber has a 3.81-GAA and .887-SPCT, but he played through illness late last month in an effort to try and help the club when they were struggling. However, he is 8-5-0-and-1 in the won-loss column and the Hawks are just 1-and-6 when he doesn't play.Runners-up: Taylor Nelson, Humboldt; AJ Whiffen, Weyburn; David Ritz, Estevan.
Note: Congratulations to Josh and also to Stephen and AJ for being runner ups in their categories. Good job guys!
