SJHL FORWARD OF THE WEEK

Winner: Preston Shupe, Weyburn Red Wings

Highlights: Shupe led all SJHL scorers with 5-goals and 2-assists in 3-games played last week; which included a four goal game against Estevan on Friday night in what ended up being a shootout loss for the Wings. One night later, he set up two goals in a Weyburn win over the Bruins. He also had an assist earlier in the week and has moved into the top twenty in scoring for the season with 55-points in 54-games.

Runners-up: Daniel Hope, Levi Lind & Aaron DeCorby, Melville; Torrie Dyck, Nipawin.

SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK

Winner: Myles Masse, Flin Flon Bombers

Highlights: Masse had three assists in three games played last week as the Bombers collected five of a possible six points. On Tuesday night in Yorkton, Masse was dominating at both ends of the ice. One night later against the Millionaires, Masse and the rest of the Bomber defense bent but did not break in an overtime loss. On Saturday, Masse and company held the Melfort Mustangs to under-20 shots in a decisive win.

Runners-up: Taylor Thiessen & Blair Toms, Nipawin; Brady Wacker, Humboldt; Stephen Simms, Weyburn.

SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

Winner: Derek Kleinsteuber, Nipawin Hawks

Highlights: The 1988 born Kleinsteuber has had an amazing run for the last three weeks, but last week he was especially impressive by going 3-and-0, 1.64, .945. In his last ten starts, Kleinsteuber has ripped off a 7-2-and-1 record, a 1.99-GAA and a .942-SPCT. For the season, Kleinsteuber has improved to 18-15-2-4, 3.17, .911.

Runners-up: Taylor Nelson, Humboldt; Calvin Bartel, Flin Flon; Ilia Ejov, Melfort.
