In case you forgot!

New black and white casual pictures have been added online.

Some retakes were done and I just asked some of the guys back who I thought deserved some better pictures as I rushed myself through some of them.

I hope you all enjoy them and make sure to pick some up when prints are made available at the Red Wings souvenir booth.

Also for any Red Wings who would like more retakes just let me or Tanya Pohl know and we will arrange something.

SJHL Tuesday Roundup!

There were games on three fronts in the SJHL tonight.

We will start in Estevan where the Bruins were battling the visiting La Ronge Ice Wolves. The Bruins rallied late in this game with Kyle Ermel scoring with 43 seconds remaining in the third to force overtime. However, the Ice Wolves would be victorious as Ken Neufeld, with a rare goal for himself, got the overtime winner just 41 seconds into the extra frame. David Lawrence scored twice for the Ice Wolves while Jordie Johnston added a single. Jarrid Dowhay and Calvin Fiddler each had two assists for the Wolves. Vincein Scott and Brennen Wrigley also scored for Estevan. Kyle Stroh added two assists for the Bruins as the Vibank product continues to pile up the points. Final shots were not in at the time of writing but I can tell you that Jonathan Jobin was in goal for the Wolves while Guillaume Perusse made his third consecutive start for the Bruins. The Ice Wolves move to the .500 mark and leap frog Melfort for fourth in the Itech as they are now 6-6-1-0. The Bruins pick up a point and now have a two point lead on second place Weyburn as they move to 8-4-2-0.

In North Battleford, the Stars put up a valiant fight as they trailed 2-0 late in the third before Makstr Lacoursiere and Nick Kalnicki (with the goaltender pulled for the extra attacker)scored to force overtime. The Terriers however were able to pick up two points as they won in a shootout. Bryan Hull scored two goals for the Terriers while Carter Smith, Jock Sutter and Kevin Stringfellow all adding assists. Jordan Pawelec and Stringfellow had the Terriers goals in the shootout. Brian Sydiaha, Richard Cameron, Barrett Penner and Ryan Scheafer all had assists for the Stars. Nickolaus Dvorak scored in the shootout. Lynden Sammartino picks up the win as he made 24 saves. Ryan Kerpan made 29 saves for the Stars. The Terriers improve to 6-5-1-2 with the win. The Stars pick up a point and are now 2-10-1-1.

The Humboldt Broncos took advantage of an undisciplined Flin Flon Bombers team in the third period as they outshot the Broncos 23-3 in the period and scored four - yes four power play goals in the third. The Broncos finished the night 5/12 on the power play. Laurent Benjamin had two goals and an assist to lead the way for the Broncos. Russ Nielsen and Jordan Schindel each had a goal and an assist. Steven Schroeder and Mitchell Strech also scored for Humboldt. Reid MacLeod had a three point night for the Bombers as he had two goals and an assist. Dustyn Clegg also scored for the Bombers while Pierre - Luc Boucher added two assists to add to his league leading totals. Carsen Chubak was under siege - especially in the final period as the made 37 saves. Taylor Nelson was not overly busy in the Humboldt goal after the first period. He made 16 saves on 19 shots.

Tonight's Three Stars:
1. Laurent Benjamin - Humboldt Broncos (2 goals, 1 assist)
2. David Lawrence - La Ronge Ice Wolves (2 early goals to give Ice Wolves some early spark)
3. Bryan Hull - Yorkton Terriers (fitting in nice as he scores both Terrier goals in regulation)

Honorable Mention - Ryan Kerpan - Battlefords North Stars (good performance by rookie goaltender in shootout loss)

Tomorrow in the SJ: The Wings return to action on home ice as they host the La Ronge Ice Wolves at the Colosseum. Game time as always is 7:30. Elsewhere tomorrow night: Humboldt @ Melville; Yorkton @ Kindersley; and Notre Dame @ Melfort.

McConnell's Musings

Troy Kramm: You picked up a tough win in Estevan on Saturday, how do you feel you played during the game?

Kyle McConnell: I think I made some key saves at key points in the game. It wasn't one of the best games I have ever played in my life but it was a big win for me. It was a real confidence boost for me and the team.

TK: The first goal that was scored on you looked like one you could have stopped, what happened on the shot?

KM: It was just a quick release shot that caught me off guard even though it shouldn't have. During the last few games I have been having trouble early on getting into the game. I have been letting a goal in during the first few shots, I am trying to really work on that.

TK: How do you rebound from goals like that?

KM: Over the past few years I have been really working on my game mentally. I just try to regroup from an early goal, take three deep breathes and pretend it never happens.

TK: You have had plenty of tough goals this year caused by bad hops, no whistles being blow and defensive lapses that you really can't be faulted on. Were you expecting a higher Win/Loss record, GAA and other stats this season?

KM: It's still early in the year and I think if I keep battling through those tough goals I will get better during the year. I have been working hard on my mental state of mind and hitting the gym a lot to get me in a postitive state of mind.

TK: I know you want to play every game during the season but how have you dealt sharing the workload with Whiffen? Do you guys have a friendly rivalry?

KM: We have a good relationship on and off the ice but as a 20 year old I want to play in as many games as possible. Whiffen is a great athletic goalie who can win games for the team but I feel that I have the experience as a 20 year old. I am counted on to be the stronger goalie due to my experience.

TK: Ok, it's prediction time. What will the score be versus La Ronge on Wednesday?

KM: La Ronge has been scoring pretty good lately but I think we can hold them off. I am gonna say 5-3 for us.

Power Ranking (Week Ended Oct. 14/07)

Time for my weekly updated power rankings and this week will not see quite as much movement as last, but nevertheless, some will rise and some will fall but not much changes at the top.

1. Melville Millionaires (11-1-0-0) Last Week: 1

The Millionaires, as I predicted they would last week, went 3-0 for the week as they won twice over Notre Dame and also defeated Melfort on home ice. Dion Campbell continues to play strong for the Mils while the return of Kale Dolinski from injury as boosted the offense. Kyle Cantlon and Travis Bosch have both been solid when called upon in goal. This week should be a good measuring stick for the Melville as they host Humboldt on Tuesday in what could be the game of the week before heading north for two games in La Ronge Friday and Flin Flon Saturday.

2. Humboldt Broncos (9-2-0-0) Last Week: 2

It was a fairly quiet week for the Broncos as they played only once, a win at home over the Yorkton Terriers. The Broncos have had injury problems this season with the likes of Brayden Klimosko, Justin Stoski and Scott Schroeder missing time, however they continue to dominate their opponents on most nights. The Broncos should have a challenging week as they host Flin Flon on Tuesday, travel to Melville on Wednesday and return home to host the Estevan Bruins on Friday. That is as tough of a three game stretch as you could have.

3. Estevan Bruins (8-4-1-0) Last Week: 7
The Bruins had a great week as they picked up five of a possible six points over the week. The Bruins posted a win over Notre Dame and then won an overtime decision in Weyburn before losing to the Wings in overtime at home on Saturday. Kyle Stroh continues to be scoring at a goal a game pace for the Bruins while Guillaume Perusse and Karsten Felske both continue to provide solid goaltending for the Bruins. The Bruins have a busy week as they host La Ronge on Tuesday and then head on a three game northern road trip that takes them to Humboldt, Kindersley and Battlefords.
4. Flin Flon Bombers (7-4-0-1) Last Week: 4
The Bombers had a decent week as they had big wins over Kindersley and Melfort and lost another to Kindersley. Pierre - Luc Boucher, Reid MacLeod and Dennis Kubat are 1-2-3 in SJHL scoring as their line proves to be the most dangerous in the league. Carsen Chubak picked up his first SJHL shutout against Kindersley this weekend to solidify the goaltending while Calvin Bartel continues to recover from injury. The Bombers can prove whether or not they belong in the upper tier this week as they travel to Humboldt and host Melville this week. This will be a good test for rookie head coach Mike Reagan and his squad.
5. Kindersley Klippers (7-4-0-0) Last Week: 6
The Klippers won 2 of three games on a northern road trip this weekend as they split a pair of games in Flin Flon before dumping Nipawin on Sunday night. The Klippers have been a team that seems to score by committee. Casey Rempel, Kirk Pearce and Matt Sawa all had big weekends for the Klippers offensively. Matt Weninger has proved to be a reliable alternative to Ryan Nieszner in goal when required as evidenced by his 46 saves performance on Sunday night. The Klippers host Yorkton and Estevan this week with a road game in Battlefords sandwiched between.
6. Nipawin Hawks (7-4-0-1) Last Week: 3
A huge loss to Kindersley on Sunday night sees the Hawks take a big drop in the power rankings this week. They did go 1-1 for the week as they did knock off the Battlefords North Stars earlier in the week. Danny Gagne will return from suspension after this weekend which should help out the Hawks as they will be able to give Derek Kleinsteuber a break. In a weird scheduling quirk, the Hawks do not play again until October 23. This gives them a long time to recover from the beating they received from Kindersley on Sunday night.
7. Weyburn Red Wings (7-5-1-1) Last Week: 8
It was a good weekend for the Wings as they picked up three of four possible points against there division rivals from Estevan. The Wings got scoring from a variety of different sources over the weekend. Nick Needham, who has recently converted to forward, scored two goals over the weekend including the OT winner in Estevan on Saturday. Both AJ Whiffen and Kyle McConnell have provided solid goaltending. The defense crew is also starting to come together again. Stephen Simms continue to provide offense from the blue line while greatly improving his defensive game this year. The Wings have a busy week as they host La Ronge on Wednesday and then have a home and home with the Yorkton Terriers on Friday (Weyburn) and Saturday (Yorkton).
8. Yorkton Terriers (5-5-1-2) Last Week: 9
The Terriers had a good week as they won games over La Ronge and Melfort but lost to Humboldt. Bryan Hull as been a welcome addition to the Terriers lineup. With Mark Currie now in Notre Dame, expect Lynden Sammartino to get the bulk of the work between the pipes. He is now backed up by 17 year old Joel Danyluk. The Terriers have one of the most solid defense crews in the league with Michael Trebish, Kirk Byzyncki, Jock Sutter, Greg Coburn, Jordan Pawelec and Stephen Martinuk and they have all helped out offensively this past week. The Terriers have a game in Kindersley on Wednesday before a home and home with the Red Wings on the weekend. The Red Wings swept the first home and home the two teams played on opening weekend.
9. La Ronge Ice Wolves (5-6-0-1) Last Week: 10
The Ice Wolves split a pair of game this week as they defeated Battlefords but lost to Yorkton. Bruno-Pier Gosselin, Jordie Johnston and Jarrid Dowhay all continue to post big offensive numbers while the play of Joel Belair on the blue line also has to impress head coach Bob Beatty. Jonathan Jobin has been solid all season with a few minor hiccups along the way. The Ice Wolves will be a bit short-handed as they head on the road this week. Joseph Cook is out with a five game suspension while Dustin Stevenson will sit out two games. The Ice Wolves are in Estevan and Weyburn this week before hosting Melfort on Saturday.
10. Melfort Mustangs (6-7-0-0) Last Week: 5
The Mustangs had a tough week but did end positively as they won an overtime thriller in Notre Dame. Dropping the Mustangs five spots is maybe a bit harsh but they have a chance to climb back this week as they have a road game in La Ronge. Scoring goals as not necessarily been the issue for Melfort lately. Taylor Watt has put up impressive numbers since returning from injury and players such as Matt Hill and Clint Olson have also been contributing. Rookie Tommy Brown has been impressive on the blue line. The Mustangs still require more consistent goaltending from David Ritz and Jesse Trach. One has to wonder if Darrell Mann is on the look out for depth at this position.
11. Notre Dame Hounds (2-13-1-0) Last Week: 12

Although the Hounds only managed one of a possible 8 points this week, Mark Currie has brought stability to the goaltending position. Chris Bratina has been scoring at a point per game pace since arriving in Notre Dame. The Hounds have a light week as they have only a road game in Melfort. One area where the Hounds may still be looking to improve is the blue line. Mike Vandenberghe has proven in the past that he is not afraid to make a huge trade to address needs with his club so we will have to see if anything transpires.

12. Battlefords North Stars (2-10-1-0) Last Week: 11
The Stars continue to struggle as they lost games to Nipawin and La Ronge this week. The Stars need more consistent efforts from veterans like Jason Walker, Barrett Penner and Nick Kalnicki if they are going to have success. Ryan Kerpan and Adrien Lemay continue to share the goaltending duties and neither has really put claim to the number one position. The Stars host Kindersley and Estevan this coming weekend.

There you have it for another week. Anyone disagree? Let me know.

- Brad M.

Hounds Drop Tough One!

Another week came to a close in the SJHL tonight with games in Notre Dame and Nipawin.
We will start in Notre Dame where the Hounds fought back from a two goal deficit only to lose 6-5 in overtime to the visiting Melfort Mustangs. The Hounds were trailing 5-3 with 1:05 to go before scoring two goals in a span of 12 seconds with their goaltender pulled to force overtime. Taylor Watt spoiled the celebration for the Hounds as he scored the game winner with 22 seconds to go in overtime. Watt had a big night as he contributed 2 goals and 2 assists to the Mustangs attack. Clint Olson and Matt Hill also had big games. Olson had a five point night as he scored twice and added three assists. Hill added a goal and three assists. Former Hound Riley Clark also scored for Melfort. Rylan Schwartz had a good night for the Hounds as he scored the two late third period goals and added an assist for the Hounds. Tanner Vandesype added three assists from the blue line and Eddie Gale also had a pair of assists. Steven Robinson, Travis Janke and Grayson Brown had the other Hounds goals. The Hounds outshot the Mustangs 42-26 on the night but could still not pull out the win. Mark Currie did not start for the Hounds for the first time since being acquired last weekend from Yorkton. In fact, Currie was not even dressed. Michel-Andre Guay made the start for Notre Dame and made 20 saves on the night. David Ritz saw a lot more rubber and made 37 saves in the Mustangs goal. Melfort salvages the final game of their road trip to improve to 6-7-0-0. With the overtime loss, the Hounds are now 2-13-1-0.

In Nipawin, a six goal outburst in the second period, propelled the Klippers to a huge 8-2 win over the Nipawin Hawks. Matt Sawa had two goals and an assist to lead the way for the Klippers. Casey Rempel also had a big night has he had a goal and four assists while Kirk Pearce added a goal and three assists as the line combined for 12 points. Byron Ismond added two goals and an assist and Jerrett Bicknell had a goal and an assist. Brett Leedahl also scored for the Klippers. Jeremy Beller chipped in with two assists for the Klippers. Kent Sauter and Torrie Dyck scored for the Hawks. Matt Weninger was sensational for Kindersley has he turned aside 46 of 48 shots faced. Derek Kleinsteuber had an off night as he only saves 27 of 35 shots fired his way. With the win, the Klippers improve to 7-4-0-0 and are now only two points back of Weyburn for third with three games in hand. The Hawks drop to 7-4-0-1 with the loss and are tied with Flin Flon for second in the Itech Conference.

Tonight's Three Stars:

1. Taylor Watt - Melfort Mustangs (Ot winner, 4 points)
2. Casey Rempel - Kindersley Klippers (5 point night)
3. Rylan Schwartz - Notre Dame Hounds (3 points including 2 late goals which allowed the Hounds to pick up a point tonight)

Honorable Mentions: Clint Olson (Melfort), Matt Weninger (Kindersley), Matt Hill (Melfort)

That's Better!

There were four games on Saturday night in the SJHL and of course most of you readers were focused on the game in Estevan between your Wings and the hometown Bruins. The Wings were able to rebound from Friday's overtime loss at home by defeating the Bruins 4-3 in overtime in Estevan tonight.
Nick Needham picked up the winner at 2:17 of overtime picking up a loose puck in front of Bruins goaltender Guillaume Perusse and burying it past him for the game winner. Scott Doody picked up his second assist of the game on the winner. The Wings and Bruins exchanged early goals as Brody Haygarth put the Bruins on the board just over 2 minutes into the first period from Trent Rumpel and Kealin Wong. The Wings tied it 43 seconds later as Brayden Nargang got goal number six on the season with Josh Bray picking up the assist. Late in the second period, the longest 3.7 seconds of hockey I have ever witnessed occurred as Kyle Stroh scored for the Bruins with .5 seconds to go in the period (ahh ....... the old home clock advantage). Payden Benning and Kyle Ermel assisted on the goal. The Bruins took the lead 4:55 into the third period as Kyle Garagan banked a puck off of Kyle McConnell to make it 3-2 Bruins as Gabriel Carle assisted. Just under 4 minutes later, the Wings tied it up again as Eric Calibaba fired the puck past Perusse with Scott Doody and Kyle Haines getting the helpers. This of course led to Needham's overtime heroics. Kyle McConnell was strong between the pipes as he made 30 saves in the win. Guillaume Perusse had 31 stops at the other end for the Bruins. Apparently the Estevan crew decided that all three stars belonged to their team tonight. I would suggest that they and I must have been watching different games. In Weyburn last night, we did have the decency to reward Bruins defenseman Kealin Wong the first star. Oh well enough sour grapes - the good guys won. The Wings are now 7-5-1-1 while the Bruins move to 8-4-1-0. The Bruins lead the Wings by one point for second in the Sherwood Conference.

In Melville tonight, the Millionaires improved to 11-1-0-0 with a 5-2 win over the Melfort Mustangs, now 5-7-0-0. Kale Dolinski scored twice for Melville, including the game winner in the third period, to help push the Mils over the top tonight. Dion Campbell had a huge game as well as he scored twice and added a pair of assists. Daniel Hope also scored for Melville. Tommy Brown scored both Mustang goals and continues his good play as a rookie on the Stangs blue line. The final shot totals were not released but I can tell you that Kyle Cantlon was the winning goaltender while David Ritz was on the losing end for Melfort.

In Flin Flon, the Bombers made up for a Friday night loss by bombing the Kindersley Klippers 4-0. Carsen Chubak made 29 saves for his first career SJHL shutout. The line of Reid MacLeod, Dennis Kubat and Pierre - Luc Boucher was again deadly as they combined for 8 points. MacLeod had two goals, Kubat had a goal and two assists and Boucher added three assists. David Linsley also scored for Flin Flon. Ryan Nieszner started for the Klippers and took the loss as he stopped 28 of 32 shots in just under 50 minutes of play. Matt Weninger went the distance and stopped all nine shots he faced in the later part of the third period. The Bombers improve to 7-4-0-1 while the Klippers are now 6-4-0-0.

Finally, in La Ronge, the Ice Wolves outscored the Battlefords North Stars 7-4. Bruno - Pier Gosselin had two goals and two assists to pace the Ice Wolves attack. Jordie Johnston added a goal and two assists. Calvin Fiddler scored twice for the Wolves who also got singles from Floyd Cook and Jesse Bannerman. Jarrid Dowhay added three assists for the Ice Wolves. Brody Malek, Nickolaus Dvorak, Matt Restoule and Makstr Lacoursiere all scored for Battlefords. Barrett Penner and Tony Oak each had two assists for the Stars. Jonathan Jobin picked up the win in goal as he stopped 27 of the 31 shots he faced. Adrien Lemay stopped 26 of 33 shots he faced. The Ice Wolves improve to 5-5-1-0 while the Stars have hit double digits in losses and are now 2-10-1-0.

Saturday's Three Stars:

1. Dion Campbell - Melville Millionaires (4 points)
2. Bruno - Pier Gosselin - La Ronge Ice Wolves (4 point night)
3. Carsen Chubak - Flin Flon Bombers (29 saves, shutout)

There are two games Sunday night as Melfort is in Notre Dame and Kindersley is in Nipawin. The Wings return to action Wednesday night at home when the La Ronge Ice Wolves come to town. Game time as always will be 7:30.

Bruins Take It in Extra Frame!

The Weyburn Red Wings and Estevan Bruins met for the first time this season and the Wings were gracious hosts as the Bruins skate away with a 3-2 overtime victory on Friday night. Kealin Wong was the hero for Estevan as he scored 1:38 into overtime on a pass from Trevor Mock to give the Bruins the two points. Wong also had an assist in the game. The Bruins led 2-0 after two periods on goals from Kyle Stroh and Kyle Garagan before the Wings battled back with 2 goals in 32 seconds early in the third period. Brayden Nargang, with his fifth of the season and Nick Needham with his first SJHL goal scored for the Wings. Stephen Simms and Josh Bray added assists. Guillaume Perusse picked up the win for the Bruins making 27 saves. AJ Whiffen stopped 32 of the 35 shots he faced in the Weyburn goal. The Bruins improve to 8-4-0-0 with the win which moves them two points ahead of the Red Wings for second place. The Wings drop to 6-5-1-1 with the overtime loss and pick up one point in the standings. To be honest, not a great pace to this game tonight although the excitement returned to the Colosseum after the two third period goals. The two teams go right back at it tomorrow night in Estevan. The Wings have to get more creative offensively and lay the body in the small rink tomorrow night if they want to be successful. Hope to see a large contingent from Weyburn tomorrow night to cheer on the guys.

Up the highway in Wilcox, the Melville Millionaires swept a home and home with the Notre Dame Hounds as they won 5-1 tonight. This follows a 3-1 victory in Melville on Wednesday. Kale Dolinski was the offensive star for Melville tonight as he had two goals and an assist in only his second game back after returning from an injury. Daniel Hope added a goal and an assist for the Mils who also got singles from Aaron Decorby and Curtis Beech. Defenseman Derek Edwards added a pair of assists for Melville. Chris Bratina had the lone goal for the Hounds. Travis Bosch got the start for Melville and made 30 saves. Mark Currie stopped 32 of the 37 shots he faced in the Hounds goal. With the win, the Millionaires improve to 10-1-0-0. The Hounds are now a dismal 2-13-0-0 as they seem to have lost their scoring touch all of a sudden.

Up in Yorkton, the Terriers won a hard fought game over the Melfort Mustangs 3-2. Bryan Hull picked up the winning goal for the Terriers in the third period. Derek Serdachny and Logan Dew also scored for the Terriers. The Terrier defenseman figured prominently on the scoresheet tonight as Greg Coburn, Jordan Pawelec, Michael Trebish and Jock Sutter all added assists. Tommy Brown had a goal and an assist for the Mustangs. Jordan Morgan had the other goal for Melfort. Lynden Sammartino made 28 saves in the Yorkton goal to preserve the victory. Jesse Trach got the start for Melfort tonight and stopped 19 of the 22 shots he faced. With the win, the Terriers are now 5-5-1-2 for 13 points, one back of third place Weyburn. The Mustangs drop to 5-6-0-0.

The winning streak ended tonight for the Flin Flon Bombers as they were hammered 5-2 by the Kindersley Klippers. Jeremy Beller had two goals to lead the Klippers. Casey Rempel added a goal and an assist. Jerrett Bicknell and Jonathan Redlick also scored for Kindersley. Pierre - Luc Boucher and Dustyn Clegg replied for the Bombers. Ryan Nieszner picked up the win between the pipes for Kindersley as he made 27 saves. Carsen Chubak stopped 27 of 32 shots he faced in the Flin Flon goal. The Klippers improve to 6-3-0-0 and are one point back of Yorkton for fourth in the Sherwood. However, the Klippers have four games in hand on both the Red Wings and Terriers. The Bombers drop to 6-4-0-1 with the loss.

Finally, in Nipawin, the Hawks scored three first period power play goals on their way to a 4-3 win over the Battlefords Stars. Dean Prpick was on fire for the Hawks tonight as he had a goal and three assists. Adam Schwark added a goal and an assist for the Hawks. Kyle Cowan and Mike Rey had singles while Andrew Georgeson chipped in with two assists. The Stars got two goals from Jason Walker and two assists from Nick Kalnicki in the loss. Nickolaus Dvorak also scored for the Stars. Derek Kleinsteuber picks up the win for Nipawin as he made 27 saves. Ryan Kerpan stopped 30 of 34 shots he faced, including 18 saves in the first period. The Hawks improve to 7-3-0-1 on the season. The Stars drop to 2-9-1-0 and remain firmly entrenched in the Itech basement much to the chagrin of Stars123.

Tonight's Three Stars
1. Dean Prpick - Nipawin Hawks (four point night)
2. Kale Dolinski - Melville Millionaires (2 goals, 1 assist)
3. Kealin Wong - Estevan Bruins (OT winner, 2 points, one of the most solid d-man in the league.)

Other news:

Joseph Cook of the La Ronge Ice Wolves has been handed a five game suspension by league disciplinarian Laury Ryan for his actions in a game versus the Yorkton Terriers on Wednesday night. His teammate Dustin Stevenson has also been suspended for two games as a result of the multi-fight incident which was deemed to have been initiated by the Ice Wolves. The Ice Wolves were also fined $600 as a result of the incident.

Trades - The Estevan Bruins acquired Liam Brennan from Alberni Valley of the BCHL for futures. Brennan made his Bruins debut tonight versus the Wings.

Meanwhile, La Ronge has dealt disgruntled forward Jori Dean to the Canmore Eagles of the AJHL for futures (or as most of us know - cash). Dean was dealt to the Ice Wolves over the summer from the Notre Dame Hounds but made it clear to Bob Beatty after the deal that he would not be reporting to La Ronge. In my opinion, it is a privilege - not a right - to play junior hockey. You should go where you are supposed to go, not dictate where you want to play. I'm glad that Bob made this kid sit for awhile.

Sorry I am late with this tonight guys but did not get away from the rink until late tonight. Enjoy the weekend everyone.
